.
Millions of Android users have been hit by a malicious data theft app that sent users' browsing history, text messages, phone’s SIM card number, subscriber identification and even voicemail passwords to a website www.imnet.us which is owned by someone in Shenzhen, China.
The theft was discovered by a mobile security firm called Lookout which sells mobile protection to the major devices, i.e. Android, Windows Mobile and Blackberry. This application basically told users they could download free wallpapers and had been downloaded anywhere between 1.1 million to 4.6 million times. SOURCE: Apple Insider
