The tablet is currently available throughout the country.

Last year, the company launched what it claimed to be the "world’s most affordable tablet" in the UAE. The company launched a couple of models. The XPad comes in seven, eight, nine, 9.7 and 10-inch versions. The devices run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and come with a host of features, including calling functions. The XPad’s six-in-one architecture supports 3G connectivity, 1080p high-definition video playback, audio processor, and dual 2D/3D graphics. The tablet comes with a 1GHz CPU and packs 4 GB of internal NAND Flash memory for data storage. The tablet also features a microSD card that can be expanded to 32 GB. Additionally, the USB and HDMI ports allow users to connect their hard-drives and other devices to the tablet for full operating flexibility.

The 10-inch tablet category is slowly emerging as one with considerable options. Recently, Videocon Mobile Phones launched its VT10 tablet in India. The Videocon VT10 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sports an IPS screen. Videocon seems to be going for the budget demographic with a price of Rs 10,999.

The tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and a 6800 mAh battery. The tablet offers full HD playback for videos, and 1GB of RAM. The tablet also comes with the bare essentials, such as Wi-Fi connectivity and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It also has an OTG cable that you can use to connect the tablet to USB drives and 3G dongles.

There is the Funbook Pro too, from Micromax that features in this category. The Funbook Pro succeeds Micromax's first tablet, the Funbook. The Funbook Pro has a VGA front-facing camera, 8GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 32 GB, and Wi-Fi. Like the original Funbook, this tablet comes preloaded with various apps such as YouTube, Text Editor, Adobe PDF, Flash and more.
